The Caretaker

"The dead can only be remembered here in my garden…"

An old man, his flesh darkened and leathered by the sun, has maintained the Orchard since the graveyard first appeared. He spends his time wandering in a mule-drawn cart, collecting those who have died along the Endless Road, as well as the corpses from the various villages, most of whom lack sufficient room to bury their own. Perhaps because they appreciate his service, the Caretaker (his real name is unknown), travels undisturbed by either the Huntsman or the cemetery’s undead.

He wears a wide-brimmed hat, which when removed shows his scalped head.
